The Restaurant Korso

Restaurant Korso next to the Vienna State Opera in Vienna's city center boasts modern interior and new opening times.

Light and modern or opulent and elegant - the Korso has it all. Most exquisite breakfast variations, light business lunches, coffee and cake in the afternoon or superb opera dinners in the evening - the Korso has once more established itself as the meeting point of an international and Viennese clientele alike, and it is a natural prolongation of the popular Hotel Bristol Bar. Its interior combines elegant antiques with modern elements. A transparent onyx element was added by star architect Paolo Piva. Bright modern leather seating lends an open nature to the Restaurant Korso in Vienna. In summertime, the Korso opens up its fancy outdoor restaurant area in the roofed Mahlerstrasse passage.

Since March 2010 Christian Krumpholz has been responsible for the Hotel Bristol's culinary matters - and therefore also for Restaurant Korso, which from now on is open all day. Krumpholz can look back to more than twenty years of experience in five-star hotels in Vienna and Toronto. He was also able to demonstrate his skills in the course of "culinary guest performances" in Malaysia, Italy and Korea. The 45-year-old Viennese heads a team of 25.

In the future, the Hotel Bristol will not any longer restrict itself to local breakfast, lunch and dinner times but offer an overall concept especially catering to travellers from overseas. Also throughout the day guests enjoy light meals and local products of superior quality. In the evening, the Korso will continue to be a classic among Viennese gourmet restaurants.
